What this site collects, and what it does not. The short version — it is a static reference site that collects nothing unless you choose to send it something.

What the site collects on its own
Browsing the pages sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site is served as static files through Cloudflare, which processes request metadata (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and protect the site; that processing is governed by Cloudflare's own terms. We do not build advertising profiles and do not sell data.
What you send us, only if you choose to
- Correction form. If you report a correction, we receive what you type — the location of the error, your description, an optional source URL, and an optional email. The email is used only to follow up on that correction. Submissions are relayed to the editorial team's private channel.
- Any other form. Same principle: we receive only the fields you fill in, and use them only for the purpose stated on that form.
We do not need, and ask you not to send, sensitive personal data or confidential deal information through these forms.
Retention and your choices
Form submissions are kept while the matter they relate to is open and for a reasonable period after, then removed. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, use the contact form and say so.
Third parties
Hosting and edge security: Cloudflare. Form submissions may be relayed through a messaging service to reach the editorial team. No other third-party analytics or advertising services are embedded at the time of writing; if that changes, this page and the changelog will say so.
